Lasting Powers of Attorney  - Personal Welfare

Have you ever considered how you would manage your personal welfare matters if you lacked the capacity to make a particular decision yourself?

There is  now a solution to this problem.

You can appoint someone (“your Attorney”) to make such decisions for you under a Lasting Power of Attorney  - Personal Welfare.

Your Attorney can make decisions about your welfare e.g., where you live and with whom,   accessing your personal information like medical records,   deciding what you wear,  what you eat and how you spend your day.

Your Attorney cannot make decisions about life-sustaining treatment for your unless you expressly state in your Lasting Power of Attorney.   Life sustaining treatment means any treatment that a doctor considers necessary to sustain your life.

You can put legally binding restrictions and conditions on your Attorney’s Powers and the scope of their authority in the Lasting Power of Attorney.
